Is Biden's Economy To Blame For The Thousands Of Layoffs In 2023?

Biden Sinks Fortune 500 Company

Welcome to Biden’s America! Thanks to such a poor economy created by none other than Joe Biden, Microsoft is now planning to lay off around 10,000 employees by the end of the third quarter because their revenue has slowed.

According to The Hill, CEO Satya Nadella wrote in a recent blog post that the upcoming layoffs represent about 5 percent of Microsoft’s workforce. Nadella added that the layoffs are needed in order to balance its “cost structure” where revenue meets customer demand.

The Microsoft CEO wrote, “We know this is a challenging time for each person impacted. The senior leadership team and I are committed that as we go through this process, we will do so in the most thoughtful and transparent way possible.”

Nadella went on to point out that Microsoft is taking on a $1.2 billion charge in their second quarter because of severance costs, hardware portfolio changes and the cost of consolidating leases.

“As a company, our success must be aligned to the world’s success. That means every one of us and every team across the company must raise the bar and perform better than the competition to deliver meaningful innovation that customers, communities, and countries can truly benefit from,” Nadella added.

“If we deliver on this, we will emerge stronger and thrive long into the future; it’s as simple as that,” he added.

This is yet another blow to President Biden and the Democrats who are dealing with a floundering economy. It is unclear just how bad all of these layoffs will affect the United States economy but we will know in the near future.
