Trump-DeSantis Fraud Shocks Florida
Controversy is surrounding Florida and other parts of America after it was learned that Erick Aguilar who is running for Florida’s 4th Congressional District began using former President Donald Trump, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Republican Rep. Jim Jordan and other Republicans’ image, name and likeness to fundraise for himself.
According to Politico, Aguilar went as ran as making full blown ads with Trump, DeSantis and other people’s names and pictures to help raise money for himself without even using his own name at all.
In one email, Aguilar used DeSantis’ name and wrote, “Governor DeSantis is always fighting back against Corrupt Left. No matter how bad this country is the Fake News media and Biden Admin are OBSESSED with that [sic] Florida is doing.”
The ad then said, “It is time to help America’s #1 Governor. Can we count on you to support DeSantis?”
While Aguilar himself is also a Republicans many donors are very upset that the money went to him instead of who they initially thought the money was going to. Americans believed that their donations would help people such as DeSantis and Trump instead it was to Aguilar instead.
One donor Pat Medford explained, “I don’t know that name. Of course, give to President Trump and DeSantis, but that’s really it. I don’t give to many others, and that name [Aguilar] is not familiar to me.”
After learning about what happened, the Platform known as WinRed, shut down Aguilar’s account immediately and released a statement. “This account intentionally misled people by pretending to be, among other groups, Donald Trump, Ron Desantis and Jim Jordan. WinRed won’t let that happen, so several months ago we took action by shutting it down.”
