Biden Helps Corporations, Citizens Suffer
Biden dropped the ball again.
President Biden initially made a deal with retail giants Walmart and Kroger to sell over-the-counter COVID-19 testing kits “at cost” meaning they made little to no profit off the sales to help keep Americans safer and more prepared for the virus.
Sadly, now President Biden forgot about the test kits deal expiring and both Walmart and Kroger have raised the prices of these test kits which makes the lower-class and middle-class suffer once again thanks to his mistake.
According to Fox, following the deal expiring, a Kroger spokesperson was reached out to for a comment and stated, “We fulfilled our commitment to the Biden administration to sell at cost for 100 days and that pricing program has now phased out.”
Recently, White House Press secretary Jen Psaki was asked about the recent change to covid test kit prices and Psaki defended Biden by saying they “strongly supported” the plan for Walmart and Kroger to not raise the prices however they did it anyways.
Psaki then changed the subject and explained how they have done more to fight the virus, “We’ve made 20,000 testing sites available. We’ve opened a range of federal testing sites across the country. Our objective is to continue to expand access to free tests for the American people across the country.”
