The CoreLogic’s 2022 Hurricane report recently discovered that almost 7.8 million homes equaling out to around $2.3 trillion worth of possible damages are expected to occur this Atlantic season due to hurricane-related damages.
According to Fox, When evaluating the storm surge and hurricane wind risk levels for both single-family and multifamily residences along the Gulf and Atlantic Coasts this season it was discovered that more than 33 million homes with nearly $10.5 trillion in combined damages are likely to occur.
Furthermore, when they analyzed data at the metropolitan level, it was learned that New York City faced the greatest risk with almost 900,000 homes facing damages totaling out to $432 billion dollars in damages to potentially occur.
When looking at the state level, three states faced the greatest dangers due to weather related accidents. Florida faced nearly three million homes with the potential to be damaged followed by Louisiana with 911,000 homes and Texas with 542,000 homes at risk.
