Biden Goes Crawling Back to Who?
Looks like Biden is in deep trouble.
In a desperate attempt by President Biden to save his Build Back Better bill, the White House is now trying to renegotiate with Democrat Senator Joe Manchin hoping that he will agree.
Biden is doing this in hopes to reach and agreement with Manchin before the 2022 midterm elections which the Democrats are in danger or losing badly.
According to Fox, in December Senator Manchin killed the $1.7 trillion Build Back Better plan by not voting in favor of it. Manchin has highlighted several key changes to the bill that he wants to see before he is willing to vote in support of it.
The White House appears to be confident that they can please Manchin this time around and will reach an agreement.
White House chief of staff Ron Klain recently stated, “One lesson we learned in the first year is, I think, the less we talk about our negotiations with specific senators and congressmen, the better we are so I’m going to say our talks with Sen. Manchin will proceed directly and privately.”
One major reason Sen. Manchin has been against Biden’s Build Back Better plan is because of inflation which he says is currently too high and spending more will make it worse.
