Biden Giving This To Americans For Free
People have mixed feelings about this.
In a surprising turn of events, President Biden and his administration has just reached a deal with over 20 internet providers to give out free internet access to Americans who live in low-income areas.
According to Fox, companies such as AT&T, Verizon, Comcast and more have agreed to give “high-speed” internet for the low price of just $30 dollars per month. As a result, the Biden administration issued a federal subsidy to pay low-income households $30 for internet access essentially giving them free internet.
Americans who are looking to take advantage of this plan can apply at the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) which is a new website which was launched on Monday.
To qualify for this free internet plan, Americans have to be below 200% of the federal poverty level. They can also qualify if anyone in their household uses government programs such as Medicaid, SNAP food stamps, or a veterans pension.
