Has Biden Made The Economy Worse?
U.S. Electric Grid In Trouble
It is now being reported that a number of issues such as summer heat, shuttered power plants and jammed up supply chain could potentially cause problems for the U.S. electric grid. Regulators also believe that these problems could result in blackouts spanning from the Great Lakes to the west coast this entire summer.
According to Breitbart, these findings were reported by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). Director of reliability assessment and performance analysis John Moura explained, “It’s a pretty sobering report, and it’s clear the risks are spreading.”
He later referred to the news as “our most cautionary tale.”
Left leaning media outlets such as Bloomberg acknowledged NERC’s report and added that climate change was also somewhat responsible for the possibility of blackouts and grid failures.
“But the fight against global warming poses its own risks as older coal-fired plants close faster than wind farms, solar facilities and batteries can replace them,” Bloomberg added.
