VIDEO: Pelosi’s Lie Costs Taxpayers Billions

As Americans express anger about President Biden’s new plan to wipe away $10,000 in debt for Americans who took out student loans to go to college, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s old words are coming back to haunt her.

According to Fox, last year Speaker Pelosi made light of Biden’s plan to erase student loan debt by saying that it was not something that Biden could do and only Congress could do something of that magnitude.

In July of last year, Pelosi said, “People think that the President of the United States has the power for debt forgiveness; he does not. He can postpone, he can delay, but he does not have that power. That has to be an act of Congress.”

Pelosi even went as far as saying if erasing student loan debt was even fair.

“Suppose…your child just decided they, at this time, [did] not want to go to college but you’re paying taxes to forgive somebody else’s obligations. You may not be happy about that,” Pelosi explained.

Now, President Biden has decided to use his executive power to erase student loan debt and Americans are angrier than ever.
