Biden Asks For 10 Billion More
This is getting very expensive.
As Russia’s invasion into Ukraine continues, President Biden is now asking Congress to approve another $10 billion to send to aid Ukraine.
This is already on top of the $6.4 in aid Biden already asked for just a few days ago.
According to Forbes, the $10 billion more that Biden is asking for is expected to aid Ukraine in their growing humanitarian crisis, it will also aid the country in defense and will help protect Ukraine’s electrical grid.
In total, President Biden is now asking Congress to approve $16.4 billion on top of the already $700 million which was immediately spent after the invasion in Ukraine began.
It is unclear if this money that is being given to Ukraine by President Biden will help the Ukrainian government stay afloat. However, there is currently no signs that Russia’s Vladimir Putin will back off even with the sanctions President Biden has placed on them and Russia’s Oligarchs.
