President Biden is set to announce a new rule on Monday which will force airlines to show Americans the true prices they are being charged on their plane tickets.
According to Newsmax, the new rule will allow the customers to see a complete list of things they are being charged for including baggage and change fees before they purchase their tickets.
President Biden’s White House is saying that they believe this will help to lower the cost of air travel for millions of Americans and bring more transparency to the airlines industry.
Furthermore, Biden’s Transportation Department believes this move will prevent airlines from hiding the “true cost” of airline tickets which will help travelers save more money when traveling.
Airlines industries were able to generate $700 million on cancellation and change fees just last year explained the White House.
