Bad News For Gas Prices In 2022?

Head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, Patrick De Haan, has just warned that the cost of gas in 2022 will be “front and loaded.” He further explained that gas prices will the the highest for the first half of the year.
According to Fox, What’s even worse is that GasBuddy predicts the national average for a gallon of gas will be $4 per gallon. They further explained that in places such as California gas could reach $5 per gallon.
De Haan did note that he believes gas prices will decline towards the end of the year but he doesn’t believe it will go below $3 per gallon.
“Omicron is less severe than anticipated and that will likely boost demand further along in 2022,” De Haan explained.
“The average household this year [is] going to spend nearly $2,400 on gasoline,” De Haan noted.
