America’s Most Iconic Vehicle Goes Electric
People have mixed emotions.
The Corvette is going green.
According to Axios, General Motors has just decided to take the legendary Corvette and offer an all new electric version of it as well.
GM President Mark Reuss made the announcement on LinkedIn and explained that the company plans to offer a fully electric ‘Vette and an “electrified” version, “which is industry parlance for hybrid or plug-in hybrid.“
Axios further explained that sports cars and luxury vehicles are the first to become electric and the Corvette vehicle makes sense to offer an electric version as well.
The first electrified version of the Corvette will be available for sale in 2023 according to GM.
