In an attempt to purchase gasoline that is actually affordable, Americans who live in southern parts of California are driving down to Mexico to purchase more affordable gasoline thanks to President Biden.
Currently the state average for a gallon of gas in California is around $6 per gallon. That is much higher than the rest of America and most Californians have to travel.
According to the Los Angeles Times, many people in California are traveling to Tijuana to fill up their gas tanks because the average cost of gasoline in Tijuana is just $3.96 a gallon.
Claudia Jessica Villarreal told the Los Angeles Times, “I swear, I’ve been coming once a week. I cross when I can.”
Things have actually gotten so bad that gas stations in Mexico are hanging banners which say things such as “Cheaper than in the U.S.A.!”
