Surprise In Store For Americans On July 4th
Experts are predicting big problems.
It is now being predicted that a whopping 42 million Americans will be hitting the road to celebrate the upcoming 4th of July holiday weekend even though gas prices are astoundingly high.
According to Axios, this information is important because gas prices in America have reached record highs in recent months. Thankfully however, these rising costs have not deterred Americans from traveling by car for the 4th of July.
Travel has now a 3.7% increase compared to 2021 similar to what it was in 2019.
senior vice president of AAA Travel Paula Twidale explained, “The volume of travelers we expect to see over Independence Day is a definite sign that summer travel is kicking into high gear.”
Twidale added, “Earlier this year, we started seeing the demand for travel increase and it’s not tapering off. People are ready for a break and despite things costing more, they are finding ways to still take that much needed vacation.”
