Americans Facing More Job Losses
This is getting scary.
Tech company Meta, previously known as Facebook, has already fired more than 11,000 employees last year. Now it appears that they want to fire even more and this is just of an even worse economy thanks to the job President Biden has done.
According to Bloomberg, Meta, the tech giant, is preparing for another wave of layoffs that could impact thousands of its employees. The announcement of these job cuts might occur as soon as this week.
In November 2022, the company had already decreased its staff by 13 percent, which resulted in the elimination of 11,000 jobs. Furthermore, Facebook has been pursuing a flattened organizational structure by providing buyout packages to managers and dismantling redundant teams.
Mark Zuckerberg proclaimed 2023 as the “year of efficiency,” and the company has been emphasizing this notion to its employees during their recent performance evaluations that concluded last week.
Sources indicate that the company’s workforce is currently grappling with anxiety and diminished morale in the face of anticipated job cuts. Employees are worried that they might not receive their scheduled bonuses, which are slated to be distributed this month, if they are laid off before receiving them.
With inflation as high as it already, Americans are growing more concerned about the risk losing their jobs as well. President Biden and the Democrats haven’t exactly done their best to instill confidence in the American middle class.
