It is being reported that a North Carolina-based company is recalling certain dog treats after several samples of their foods tested positive for potentially harmful bacteria.
According to Fox, various different batches of Stormberg Foods’ dog treats including products such as Beg & Barker Chicken Breast Strips Dog Treats, Billo’s Best Friend Chicken Breast Strips Dog Treats, and Green Coast Pets Chicken Crisps Dog Treats recalled “due to a potential contamination of Salmonella.”
These potentially harmful products were sold between Jun 8th and June 22nd to locations across the United States.
The recall statement explained, “Salmonella can affect pets eating the products and there is risk to humans from handling contaminated pet products especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after touching the product or an exposed surface.”
If your pets have eaten these products please make sure to keep and eye on them and watch for things such as them being lethargic, have decreased appetite, abdominal pain, diarrhea, bloody diarrhea, fever and vomit.
