1,400 Dollar Stimulus In 2022, Are You Eligible?
Here’s who will get it.
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) just announced that all of the third round of stimulus checks have been delivered. However, there are still some people who will be able to claim money and some who could receive a full $1,400 in 2022.
Parents of kids who were born in 2021 or parents or guardians who added a new qualifying child via processes such as adoption and did not receive Economic Impact Payments for that child will be eligible for a $1,400 payment.
Luckily, new parents aren’t the only ones eligible.
According to AL, here is who else that can be eligible:
- Parents of a child born in 2021 who claim the child as a dependent on their 2021 income tax return may be eligible to receive a Recovery Rebate Credit of up to $1,400. Eligible parents who had a qualifying child born or welcomed through adoption or foster care in 2021 are also eligible to claim the child tax credit – worth up to $3,600 per child born in 2021 – on their tax returns.
- Families who added a dependent, such as a parent, nephew or niece or grandchild, on their 2021 income tax return who was not listed as a dependent on their 2020 income tax return may be eligible for the $1,400 stimulus payment.
- People who saw a change in income from 2020 to 2021 could be eligible for a payment. Single filers who had incomes above $80,000 in 2020 but less than that amount in 2021 or married couples who filed a joint return and had incomes above $160,000 in 2020 but less than this amount in 2021; and head of household filers who had incomes above $120,000 in 2020 but less than this amount in 2021 may be eligible for additional stimulus money.
Most of the other Americans who were already eligible already received the full amount says the IRS.
