5 More States To Ban Gas Cars
Here are the states…
As you already know, California has recently placed a ban on all new gas powered vehicles from being sold starting in 2035. Now it appears that more states have already followed in California’s footsteps to ban gas powered vehicles as well.
President Biden and Democrats such as Gavin Newsom are pushing clean energy harder than ever. Democrats are encouraging all states to ban gas-powered vehicles in order to bring about a “greener” future.
According to USA Today, Washington, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon and Vermont are following in Governor Gavin Newsom’s footsteps and are looking to adopt California’s ban on new gasoline-fueled vehicles.
What’s even more interesting is that states like Colorado and Pennsylvania aren’t buying the Democrats’ goal to ban gas vehicles and appear to be refusing to institute a similar type ban.
Republicans in the state of Virginia have rebelled at the thought of instituting a gas vehicle ban as well.
Other like lawmakers in Minnesota have warned that this new ban on gas vehicles could cause trouble for them due to geographical issues not political ones.
Minnesota Auto Dealers Association’s Scott Lambert explained, “The technology is such that the vehicles just don’t perform that well in cold weather. We don’t all live in southern California.”
Minnesota’s Democrat Governor Tim Walz fired back at the idea and said, “We are not California. Minnesota has its own plan. Our priority is to lower costs and increase choices so Minnesotans can drive whatever vehicle suits them.”
