Elizabeth Warren Slapped Down To Size
She’s not going to be happy about this.
Tesla founded Elon and Democrats such as Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders have been battling on social media for several years now about how much Elon Musk pays in taxes along with a number of different finance-related issues.
Now Sen. Elizabeth Warren is under the spotlight yet again after Musk humiliated her on social media.
According to Fox, Senator Warren claimed that Musk paid “zero” in taxes in 2018. “Elon Musk in 2018, we’ve actually seen his tax returns,” Warren stated. “You know how much he paid in taxes, one of the richest people in the world? Zero.”
Musk actually paid no federal income taxes in 2018 because lives off of money he gets through loans he takes from Tesla shares that he owns via stock options.
Musk then fired back at Warren on social media and wrote, “Will visit IRS next time I’m in DC just to say hi, since I paid the most taxes ever in history for an individual last year [2021]. Maybe I can have a cookie or something …“
