Did You Overpay For THIS?
We hope you didn’t.
If you purchased a car in January get ready for a surprise.
According to Fox, a new study from Online Marketplace found that 82.2% of new car buyers paid substantially more than the actual MSRP of the vehicle in January.
Furthermore, the average cost above the sticker price was around $728. Traditionally, knowledgeable vehicle purchasers typically got a discount of $2,648 two years ago.
Some of the most marked up vehicles were Cadillac, Land Rover, and Kia. On average people who purchased a Cadillac paid $4,048 more than the actual cost. People who purchased a Land Rover paid around $2,565 more and those who bought kia paid $2,289 more.
Edmunds executive director of insights, Jessica Caldwell, stated, “This is in part driven by affluent consumers being willing to shell out more cash to get the vehicles that they want, but there’s also a vast population of individuals who are being forced to do so simply because they need transportation and have no other choice.”
