Fortune 100 Company Lays Off Thousands Of American Workers
President Biden’s economy keeps getting worse.
It appears that millions of Americans voted in the recent midterm elections without thinking about the economy because things just keep getting worse.
Now it appears that Amazon is expected to lay off 10,000 corporate and technology employees as early as this week. President Biden just can’t catch a break. Maybe if the Republicans won the Senate this country could actually start getting back on its feet.
According to Fox, This lay off accounts for a whopping 3% of Amazon’s corporate work force.
These new cuts are going to heavily effect Amazon’s devices organization, retail division and human resources departments.
This new decision to fire more than 10,000 workers will be the largest job cut in Amazon’s history.
Amazon’s CEO Andy Jassy explained that they are cutting the jobs because of the company’s inability to make profits.
President Biden now has 10,000 more people to add to his “record” unemployment list.
“We’re facing an unusual macro-economic environment, and want to balance our hiring and investments with being thoughtful about this economy,” Amazon’s senior vice president Beth Galetti said.
